i didn't know what came into me that had me continuing walking across the road when the light for pedestrians turned red already. aside from the fact that i'm already at dead center of the road (there's no turning back!) i kind of felt the need for a rush...and my intimate wish came true.
i came out running after being near missed by the cab. haha! if you had seen how close my encounter was you could have shouted, "what were you thinking???". Exactly the same sentiments I have after. What was I thinking? Nothing. I acted on my impulses. I wanted to see if it's my time to die.
I suddenly thought about those who tried to take their own lives and failed. How did they endure the scrutiny of other people? Budging about morality and stuffs about life. "Heck, people. He/She wanted to die in the first place.".
I know I sound a bit morbid here but accepting the fact that there's an end to everything is like accepting your limitations as a human. You are a mortal subjected to death. And that is one of the things that makes us all equal - our final destination is towards death's arms.
